The Kitchen staff at Portway have started collecting their green waste from the lunchtime preparations. This is collected by children and added to the composting bin.
In addition to the collection from the kitchen, the green waste from the children's healthy snacks is collected after each breaktime and added to the compost bin, to be used as a natural compost around the school once it has decomposed.
